Generally, when you are “in the doghouse”,
you have fallen out of favor with someone, usually your spouse or
significant other. However, you can also be “in the doghouse” with a
friend or your boss at work. National Get Out of the Doghouse Day is an
opportunity to use all those good cliches and get you back in the big
house where you belong.

The 10th July unites the nation for National Don’t
Step on a Bee Day! This year we’re calling for your help to protect our
precious bees.
The recent press surrounding the ‘Bee Crisis’ has been hard to
ignore. Not only do our bees help provide the honey, propolis and
beeswax contained within your favourite Bee Good products, they also
help to keep us all fed and watered! Without the tireless work of our
little buzzing friends, over a third of everything we eat would
disappear from our tables.

Jefferson Airplane , Donovan, The Who, The Doors, The Grateful Dead, Van Dyke Parks
Bakshi apologizes to his hosts; then needs to go to the bathroom. He wanders through the house, opening doors and barging in on various servants and guests in embarrassing situations. He ends up in the back yard, where he accidentally sets off the irrigation sprinklers. At Divot's insistence, Monet gives an impromptu guitar performance of "Nothing to Lose," to impress the guests. Bakshi goes upstairs, where he saves Monet from Divot by dislodging Divot's toupee. Bakshi finally finds a bathroom, but he breaks the toilet, drops a painting in it, gets toilet paper everywhere, and floods the bathroom. To avoid being discovered Bakshi sneaks out on the roof and falls into the pool.

Portugal. The Man, Death From Above, DJDS, !!!, Bleachers
Usually when we hurt another person or ourselves it is unconscious, the act of forgiveness is always a conscious decision. The act of forgiveness allows unconscious actions to come into the light of awareness. Forgiving others does not fix their mistakes, we forgive them to release ourselves from the heavy burden of holding grudges and carrying bitterness in our heart. It accomplishes something even greater than that, it allows us each the space to let go of past mistakes while helping to cultivate a deeper sense of compassion for ourselves (and others).

The War On Drugs, Jr. Jr., alt-J , Washed Out, Arcade Fire, Nym
There is a doctrine about the nature and place of the mind which is prevalent among theorists, to which most philosophers, psychologists and religious teachers subscribe with minor reservations. Although they admit certain theoretical difficulties in it, they tend to assume that these can be overcome without serious modifications being made to the architecture of the theory.... [the doctrine states that] with the doubtful exceptions of the mentally-incompetent and infants-in-arms, every human being has both a body and a mind. ... The body and the mind are ordinarily harnessed together, but after the death of the body the mind may continue to exist and function.

There are things we want to believe because it makes us happy. There are things we believe because it provides order and an explanation, no matter how irrational the belief may be. There are things we want to believe because it gives us hope. There are things we believe, not because we want to, but because we’re too lazy to look it up.
