Death peeks in
William loved his cat Cornell.  They would sit for hours and threaten to play.  Cornell saw Death first and wanted to alert William, but he never found the right moment to jump into the discussion.  Moments later they would both be on the unfinished wood floor no longer among the living.  His airplane picture would be mysteriously missing when the family came to clean out the house.  Later...

Elvis Boxer
To commemorate the day Elvis died in 1977 Maria created this Dios del Muerto doll.  She made the king of rock and roll a skeleton boxer because that is how she saw him when she closed her eyes and softly hummed Love Me Tender.  She saw him in Vegas in the 70s and still slept with the sweat-soaked white polyester scarf he gently wrapped around her neck one balmy August night.  Later...
