Rumors aren't anything new, they have been going on for centuries. Although starting a rumor is usually frowned upon, today you have an excuse to start one, and that's the best way to celebrate the day.

How is your sense of direction? Do you often find yourself going around in circles? Do you feel hopelessly lost? Do you know where you are? If any of these questions describe your current state of being, then you are in tune to this special day.  Check the trees for moss..... moss grows on the shaded, north side of a tree trunk.  Viewed in another way, being marooned without a compass for a day could be a good thing. Our busy life styles seldom leaves time to relax. We can just kick back and enjoy being marooned. Tomorrow, we can head east when the sun rises. In the meantime, I think I see a shady tree.....

UN Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. With the ratification of this founding document by the majority of its signatories, including the five permanent members of the Security Council, the United Nations officially came into being.
24 October has been celebrated as United Nations Day since 1948. In 1971, the United Nations General Assembly recommended that the day be observed by Member States as a public holiday.
