Who you gonna call www.KXCI.org

 Head Stock
Muriel was a musician and a musical instrument.  She vibrated like a theremin in a Beach Boys song. Brian saw her first in a fever dream locked away in his room. She played the A at 440 and mesmerized the be-robed fatman with her saucer eyes.  Later...

Cherry Wind
She rides the giant maraschino and floats through the trees in full bloom.  Pink islands of color against the grey sky above.  In her semi-hypnotic state, she floats along and day dreams of a time when she doesn't need the giant fruit to feel this way.  Later...

 The Red Coat
George was bullied at school, but that meant nothing later in life. He went on to be a war hero and started a successful tire business in the Los Angeles area. He married Betty Jo Bialoski (we knew her as Nancy) and they had seven relatively well adjusted children including Nick who became a private dick. Later...

Freddie's Dead
Freddie didn't feel much like having his picture taken. Early in life you think everything you do should be documented and catalogued. As you grow older, the pile of memories becomes something a loved one sorts through and discards after the fact. Not a single person is interested in your box of press clippings, just you. Later...

Breakfast Bird
We rarely eat green food for breakfast. Oh, the occasional Kiwi, but never a salad or green bean. A sprig of parsley as a garnish does not count. And the mythical green eggs and ham never happens. Here are your eggs and kale, sweetheart. Never. Later...

Fred 'Bugs' Muggs
Having a pet monkey was more work than Betsy ever imagined. And the physical strength of the noble beast at times overwhelmed her. So when Easter came and she wanted a picture of Fred in the Peter Cottontail costume, she struggled mightily to keep him in it. The smile was really a pre-bite grimace. Later...

And give up Show Biz?
Johnny Logan was the one-man band they all talked about. He dressed for every occasion and played any tune you could think of.  No Fake Book or iPad to help him remember, just an encyclopedic knowledge of music and the sheer chutzpah to perform it all. He played until he couldn't move his fingers from the osteoarthritis. He shuffled off this mortal coil soon thereafter. Later...
