Burf the lantern fish was growing psilocybin mushrooms like barnacles on his back.  The light was there to lead the way, but Burf could not keep his eyes off of it.  He travelled his fish tank endlessly, staring at the glowing orb until his eyes burned out.  The other lantern fish enjoyed the fruits of his dorsal growth, but not Burf.  He was the Tiresias of bottom feeders.  Later...

Sister Act
Their father Dave was an old goth from Santa Barbara and he loved his daughters like he loved his black nail polish.  He made them a custom leather poncho and they wore it everywhere, even the beach.  A genetic condition prevented Pyrenees and Biscay from ever enjoying a full and productive life, but they had the poncho to keep them safe and Dave was happy.  Later...

Keeping An Eye On Me
Even a pink bow and magic egg could not cheer up Kaliga.  Her ever-vigilant bird friend looked on as she spun deeper and deeper into depression.  Matching striped party hats usually bouyed her spirit, but today she could not or would not forget.  It was the begining of Summer and still snow lightly fell.  Her bird was free and so was she.

Kitchen Hi-Jinx
Roberto completed his diorama and then painted this hyper-realistic interpretation.  His mini-world included all that was sacred to him including his beloved blue balloon dog.  It was a freeze frame of his most iconic belongings.  He would bury it all in the backyard and water it every day until it sprouted a new life.  Later...
