Washington's Birthday is a United States federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday of February, meaning it can occur the 15th through the 21st inclusive, in honor of George Washington, the first President of the United States, who was born on February 22, 1732. Colloquially, it is widely known as Presidents Day and is often an occasion to remember all the presidents, not just George Washington or Abraham Lincoln, whose birthday is also in February. The term "Presidents Day" was coined in a deliberate attempt to change the holiday into one honoring multiple presidents

It is believed the first kites were used in China over 3,000 years ago. Benjamin Franklin is famous for his kite flying. But did you know he actually swam in a pond with a kite attached to his toe! And Alexander Graham Bell was also passionate about kites. Kites have also been used for military purposes during wartime.

It'll be a cold day in Hell when.. well, when the mercury dips below freezing.
That's exactly what happened in Hell, Mich., the unfortunately-named town located an hour west of Detroit. The few hundred residents saw temperatures, with wind chill, sink below -30 degrees earlier this week. Thursday's midday temperature rose to a balmy 13 degrees, with a wind chill of 2 degrees.
